Design In The Desert - Palm Springs Modernism Week 2016

The warm ‘winter’ winds greeted us as we approached our favorite desert retreat for the whirl of delicious design, invigorating art, midcentury madness – and just the right amount of tropical cocktails and topical conversation with a few hundred of our closest design friends and colleagues!

The Modernism Show was particularly lively this year – wonderful midcentury modern and vintage pieces from vendors from across the US and the world  - accompanied by the colorful and eclectic art show with some wonderful galleries showing their best. Favorite new acquisitions – gorgeous ceramic pieces by our Italian ceramic crush Bitossi and delightful brass and mosaic pieces by Salvador Teran…

Home tours and parties are always a fabulous part of Modernism; absolute ‘Best In Show 2016’ goes to the incredible William Holden Estate, meticulously restored to beyond its former glory to become a new modern masterpiece - impeccably designed by the uber-talented Rodrigo Vargas – congratulations RV – bellissimo!!
